Cebu City has for the past years effectively developed and lucratively maintained its reputation as one of the most visited cities in Asia. Beautiful beaches, warm sunny weather, world class hotel accommodations, mouth watering local cuisines are some of the key attractions that played a significant role to the continuous growth of tourism industry in the province of Cebu in general. In relation to this, Mactan International Airport mainly played the role of linking Cebu to the world. Mactan International Airport is Philippines’ gateway to the bustling city of Cebu. The airport is located in Mactan, an island city in Cebu province known for its quality locally made guitars. In addition to several international flights coming to Mactan International Airport, the airport also handles domestic flights to and from the cities of Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Ozamis, Dipolog, Cagayan de Oro, Gen. Santos and Zamboanga to name a few.

I can’t exactly point out some figures how many times I’ve been here in Mactan International Airport because I’ve been here countless times already. All I incessantly remember or care about to commit to my memory was the remarkable flight from Ozamis to Cebu with my wife. It’s like we were having a date up on the clouds most especially when Cebu Pacific Air’s little ATR72-500 72 seater plane hovered over Bohol island on a clear sunny day, putting on view out from the window the picturesque Chocolate Hills, a remarkable landmark of Bohol island. My wife is not flying with me all the way to Manila since she is here in Cebu with her mother and sister attending a very important or shall I say “special” appointment. Now, I am all by myself here at the departure lounge waiting for my connecting flight which is about an hour more to keep me waiting.
